Lavender Rockson is a dedicated youth worker and wellbeing advocate passionate about fostering self-care and self-awareness among young people. She holds a BSc in Social Work, a Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work, and a Level 3 Diploma in Meditation, Mindfulness, and Relaxation Instructor Teacher Training. Lavender founded the youth movement Generation Evolve, which aims to make self-care and self-awareness a lifestyle for young people through well-being workshops, mentoring, and social action projects.
Lavender utilises a variety of creative modalities such as relaxation, playfulness, movement, mindfulness, and creative writing. She has facilitated creative writing workshops that support young people in expressing themselves through poetry and journaling. Lavender’s involvement with the Outsiders Project from 2019 to 2023 in Boscombe and her collaboration with Bristol University on the Temperature Life Stories project highlight her commitment to integrating creative writing and holistic wellbeing.
She is based in the South West of England and works remotely nationally. She is a 32-year-old cis woman of mixed race and disability, passionate about community projects with youth.
