(She/her) 2024
Ell is a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge where she studied Human, Social and Political Sciences.
During this time her academic work and research focused on challenging and rethinking traditional social theory through the lens of Critical Disability studies. Untangling how much of what we know and take for granted about our social world is based only on abled experiences continues to be a theme of her work now as she undertakes the MA in Social Research with a particular focus on rethinking medical best practices for Disabled Patients.
Beyond this, Ell is a passionate Disability Advocate and spent a year as a full-time Disabled Students office to campaign for change for Disabled University Students. She hopes to bring this passion to her work to create research that can be used practically to change policy and improve the lives and experiences of Disabled people.
Outside of academia, Ell enjoys nature and all things outdoors and is passionate about increasing the accessibility of this for all.
