Tafsila Khan

(She/her) 2026

Tafsila Khan is a registered blind theatre maker, dramaturg and access consultant based in Wales. Her work is driven by a belief that theatre should be a space where everyone is represented, have their voice heard and feel that they belong. As a blind artist, accessibility is not simply something she advocates for, it is central to how she understands, experiences and creates theatre.

Tafsila is the founder of Blindspot Training & Consultancy, established in 2018, through which she delivers blind awareness training and audio description consultancy to theatre companies and venues across Wales. She has worked across the sector as an Access Co-ordinator with Taking Flight Theatre and as a Creative Associate at Wales Millennium Centre, alongside creative roles with organisations including Sherman Theatre, Extant, Nova Theatre and Stammermouth Theatre Company.

Her creative practice moves between dramaturgy, directing, writing and devising. She is particularly interested in real stories, contemporary theatre and work that explores identity, society and the experiences of people whose voices are too often overlooked. She enjoys asking questions about whose stories are being told, who gets to tell them and who gets to experience them.

Alongside her professional practice, Tafsila is currently studying for an MA in Theatre and Performance at Birkbeck, University of London, developing her work as a dramaturg. She is passionate about using theatre as a tool for connection, conversation and change, while continuing to challenge assumptions about disability and what disabled artists can bring to the creative process.
