My name is Nina and I am a full time wheelchair user with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and a significant visual impairment. I am now a qualified person centred counsellor with over 130 post qualification practice hours. I am interested in extending and improving my skills around advocacy for others who are part of the disabled community and would like to use my counselling skills which I have acquired to help others who are part of this community who may lack confidence and self belief when it comes to advocating for themselves. Therefore the advocacy and mental health field is the area that I feel I am best suited to support the DLN with and look forward to supporting them with this in the near future.
