Speakers:
Cara Yar Khan, a senior advisor at GDI Hub and previously served as a senior advisor on International Disability Rights at the US Department of State, bringing 25 years of experience in international development, disability rights and corporate partnerships. Her career spans roles with the UN World Food Programme, UNICEF and public speaking, including a TED Talk watched by over 2.6 million people.
Lucy Neat-Ward, member of the DLN network and is a disabled academic and EDI advocate in UK Higher Education. She uses a wheelchair due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and a neurological condition and is awaiting an assistance dog for greater independence. With a PhD in French Studies, she now leads disability and neurodiversity work across staff networks and push for inclusive policy through an intersectional lens.
Nathalie Podder, member of the DLN network and is currently studying Security and Resilience at Imperial College London and is also a trustee and BME Officer of Imperial College Union and a member of Imperial College London’s university council. She has spent the last two years as Deputy President (Welfare) at Imperial College Union.
